How do you access Global Stash? is it like Tarkov

New to game, heard about global stash, is this like the Tarkov stash and I can dump my good and duplicated items into  for use later?

Just realised when I bumped into an NPC by tents, you can dump stuff then.

Grace(the NPC) is in both safezones...that is the only access point for your GI

YOu can access by NPC on safezones and by the menu if your character died (not sure the latter one)
