Turrets

Do they work? I have 4 around my base, loaded with ammo... They look like they're on, as they rotate, laser, light etc... They just don't shoot at anyone.... Super confused.

Hi there,

Turrets only shoot XOIDs right now.  Once we have the clan system ready, we will allow them to shoot players.  Right now there is nothing that prevents them from shooting teammates so instead of them killing players unintentionally upon logging in, we're holding off activating them for shooting players until then.

They are still super useful for clearing waves of xoids at events

i was shot by a turret passing nearby with a vehicle.. i think they are shooting anything...lol

Hi there,

With the release of Season 5 and the clan system, turrets were enabled to shoot players on September 26th per the patch notes for the season 5 update and the clan system release.

You are allowed 1 of each tier per server.

Hi there,

As long as your friend is in your clan, turrets will not shoot them.

After they have joined your clan from the main menu, make sure to equip a hammer, and go to your land claim flag, right click until you see authorize clan, then hold e.  This will authorize all clan members to your land claim giving them permissions to build/destroy objects, and turrets will not shoot them.

A lot.  It depends on the ammo used, tier of the turret, weapon's durability, and the level of your weapon.  Explosives and EMP Grenades are the easiest way to destroy turrets.
